AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, has taken delivery of the second of five new Boeing 747-8 Freighters.
“We’re so excited to take this airplane,” says Tatyana Arslanova, executive president of AirBridgeCargo Airlines. “We have been very pleased with the performance of our first 747-8 Freighter, and we are eager to have the second join our fleet.”
ABC is the first airline in Eastern Europe to operate the Boeing 747-8 Freighter.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, took delivery on April 2, 2012 of the second of five new Boeing 747-8 Freighters
The addition of the 747-8 Freighter to ABC’s fleet is an important step in its long-term business strategy, according to Boeing.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines is headquartered in Moscow’s Western Administrative District (where an administrative district is known as an ‘okrug’) and it operates from two cargo hubs at major Moscow airports, Sheremetyevo International Airport and Domodedovo International Airport.
In addition to its two delivered 748-8Fs and three additional ordered aircraft, ABC also operates five Boeing 747-400ER Freighters, three Boeing 747-400Fs, one Boeing 747-300 converted freighter and two Boeing 747-200 freighters.
