AeroMexico is launching daily service between Atlanta and Mexico City on July 1.
This summer the capital of Mexico will be hosting a slew of events, including the San Francisco International Film Festival at the Plaza Condesa, horse racing at the Hipódromo de las Américas, and the Saint Santiago Festival – featuring rides, music, dancing, food stalls and religious services throughout the city.
Travelers can also connect via the airline’s hub at Terminal 2 at Mexico City’s Aeropuerto Benito Juárez Internacional (IATA code MEX) to destinations such as Cancun, Mazatlan, and Léon with Aeromexico’s network of more than 40 routes within the country and 30 international destinations (including many in central and Latin America).
Thanks to AeroMexico’s partnership with Delta Air Lines within the SkyTeam alliance, premium-class passengers traveling with AeroMexico will also have the opportunity to use Delta Air Lines’ VIP lounge at the new International Terminal (Concourse F) at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) while awaiting flights.
Passengers on the route will also be able to accrue miles on AeroMexico’s Club Premier or Delta’s Sky Miles frequent-flyer programs.
AeroMexico will use 99-seat Embraer 190 jets, operated by its regional subsidiary Aeroméxico Connect, on the route. The airline’s schedule on the route will see its daily flight departing MEX at 9:05 a.m. and arriving at ATL at 1:40 p.m. local time.
In the other direction, the flight will leave ATL at 2:40 p.m. and land at MEX at 5:25 p.m. local time.
With this new service, AeroMexico will be offering at least 17 routes from the U.S. to cities throughout Mexico.
