Boeing delivered the 737-800 on June 16 to GECAS and China United Airlines, the GECAS leasing customer which will operate the aircraft.

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has taken delivery of its 275th Next-Generation Boeing 737.

The Boeing 737-800 was delivered on June 16 to GECAS and China United Airlines, the GECAS leasing customer which will operate the aircraft.

This Boeing 737-800, operated by China United Airlines, is the 275th Next-Generation Boeing 737 delivered to leasing company GE Capital Aviation Services, which had ordered nearly 350 737NGs by June 2011. GECAS and its leasing customer for the aircraft, China United Airlines, took delivery of the 737-800 on June 16, 2011

“Taking delivery of our 275th Next-Generation 737 speaks to the success of the airplane and the value it brings to the market,” said Norman Liu, president and CEO of GECAS. “Over the years, GECAS has successfully leased many 737s to airlines around the world.”

To date, GECAS has ordered 349 aircraft of the Boeing 737NG family.

The Next-Generation 737 family has won orders for more than 5,690 aircraft. As of April 30, Boeing had delivered 3,623 Next-Generation 737s.
