Who We Are

www.AirlinesAndDestinations.com is edited and published by Christian Kjelgaard and Matt Mills and also features articles from contributing editors who are highly respected travel and airline-industry journalists.

Christian Kjelgaard, the Editor of www.AirlinesAndDestinations.com, is a journalist with 30 years’ experience in writing about the airline and airport industries, aviation and travel. He has served as Editor of five airline-industry magazine titles as well as Aviation.com, a well-known consumer web site on aviation and air travel. Christian also spent five years as chief reporter of Air Transport Intelligence, the world’s only news wire specifically about the air transport industry. He is possibly the only person ever to have served as Editor of the official magazine of the International Air Transport Association (Airlines International) and the official magazine of the Airports Council International (Airport World) at the same time. In addition, Christian has written for dozens of business and consumer publications, newspapers and websites.

Matt Mills functions as the technical and operational lead for www.AirlinesAndDestinations.com. Matt is a lifelong aviation enthusiast and completed his private pilot training during his senior year in high school. He brings years of experience in web analytics, I.T., and advertising sales to the team. Matt completed his undergraduate work in Communications and Spanish from Pacific Union College, including a year of studying and traveling abroad. He received a Masters degree in Corporate Communication from Baruch College. Matt currently lives in Seattle with his wife and enjoys activities such as gardening, ham radio, and radio-controlled aviation.
