American Airlines is launching daily service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport on May 7.

The carrier’s existing shareholders and Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, Alitalia’s new 49 per cent shareholder, announced on January 20 that the Italian carrier would adopt new network, fleet, cost-management, airline partnership and customer-service strategies. It is also adopting a new look.

Delta Air Lines is planning to begin daily service between Los Angeles International Airport and Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport on July 9, pending U.S. Department of Transportation and Chinese government approval.
